  • What can I expect from a company like this?
    We strive for the highest quality costumes, supplies, and performances. Our performer will arrive fully in costume and entertain for your party. He/She brings all his/her own supplies and will do whichever activities were included in your package. The performer will sing, play games, and will always make sure to stay for photos! During public events, the performer will also interact with guests, though often for a shorter period of time before posing for photos.
  • How far in advance should I book?
    We ask you to book at least a month in advance. Plus the further out you book, the more likely you are to get the date, time, and character(s) you've requested! We do not always accept last minute bookings.
  • How do I book?
    Please email us first before booking a party to confirm your date and time is available. We require a 50% retainer fee to hold the date and time of your party. This fee must be paid at the time of booking and will go towards the balance of your party. You may also choose to pay the balance in full at this time if you would like. The remaining balance does not have to be paid until 72 hours (3 days) before the date of the party.
  • Why do you need a retainer for an event? How do I pay this balance?
    The retainer reserves your date and time of your party. Due to the number of inquiries we receive, this fee saves your date so nobody else can book on it! The retainer is 50% of your party fee and is non-refundable. After you fill out your booking form, we will send you an email to confirm the information provided and give you the information to send us an INTERAC email transfer. We at Charm & Grace feel that e-transfer is the easiest and safest way to pay for your party. However, if you do not pay the deposit within 24 hours, we, unfortunately, will reopen your spot. If you'd like to rebook or change your date/selected character you are more than welcome to do so. But the same retainer will be required.
  • What is the best age for these parties?
    We feel that the best age for these parties is between the ages of 4-10. But that doesn't mean that guests outside of that age range can't enjoy the performance. We do our best to keep all party attendees involved in the activities and story time but understand that it may be harder for younger party goers.
  • Do I need to provide anything for the performer?
    Our performers bring everything they need to host your party! All we ask is you provide a place to sit, an open space to set up and play and water for our performer! Everything else will be taken care of by us! Our facepainter needs 2 chairs in the party space for herself and whomever she is painting. If oudoors, we require a shaded area to perform in. Our costumes are the equivalent of a sweater and tuque, which can be quite warm in direct sunlight. Our facepainter's paints also melt in the sun.
  • The Magic
    Magic is very important to our company and we don't want anyone to ruin that magic. If a child happens to start yelling that the performer is not real, or that the dress and wig are fake, we expect the parent of the child to calmly take the child from the party. We must protect the magic we are trying to create.
  • The Supervision of Children
    Please understand that this is not a babysitting service. We are not responsible, nor will we discipline the children in attendance. If a child is acting in a way that is rude to the performer, or others, we will expect the parent of that child to tend to the situation so that the party may run according to schedule.
  • Can we have our party outside?
    Of course! Should you decide to bring the fun outside, please make sure the party area is shaded from the sun/heat and any possible rain. Have a clean, dry, shaded area for activities, free of mud and water so everyone can enjoy the fun safely. Our characters with ballgowns/full-length dresses will not perform outside unless on a paved/decked area. Performers can not perform in weather below 18C or above 25C for their safety (our costumes can get quite hot in Summer weather, but are not warm enough to keep us warm on colder days)
  • Do you accept gratuity?
    Absolutely! Our actors are highly trained. Gratuity isn't included in our prices, so if you feel like our performer did an excellent job, then you are more than welcome to tip whatever you feel is appropriate.
  • Do you do charity events?
